Day 176: March 20, 2005 - Fresh Rain

The rain poured down for an hour, and just as quickly as the rain it came, the clouds cleared. Blue skies and sunshine returned while the water drained across Checkerboard Mesa. The bright sun, and the wet, white rock combined to give the mesa a shining surface.
